News and quotes evening service Karpfham

The third day of the Central European Rally is now in the books. The tough conditions in the morning really tested the crews, and some pushed beyond their limits. In the afternoon, the stages dried out, and drivers could enjoy the roads a bit more. Tomorrow is the final day with four stages ahead.

#20 Oliver Solberg (SWE) / Elliott Edmondson (GBR), Skoda Fabia RS (Rally 2)

"The afternoon was much better. I won all the stages. I had a great feeling with the car. The roads dried out, and the conditions were completely different. I had fun. I hope it stays like that tomorrow. We're in second place, and anything is possible."

#21 Yohan Rossel (FRA) / Florian Barral (FRA), Citroën C3 (Rally 2)

"The morning was terrible. The afternoon was a bit better. I started to get some feeling with the car."

#22 Nikolay Gryazin (BGR) / Konstantin Aleksandrov (ANA), Citroën C3 (Rally 2)

"It was a good day. We managed to extend our lead over the second place in WRC2. In the afternoon, there was finally some good grip, and driving was fun again. I hope it stays the same tomorrow."

#27 Armin Kremer (GER) / Ella Kremer (GER), Skoda Fabia RS (Rally 2)

"In the morning, it was all about reading how the roads would change. Other than that, we had no issues all day. We made one wrong tire choice, but overall, we're happy and looking forward to tomorrow. We're trying not to risk our Master Cup win. But in rallying, it’s not over until you cross the finish ramp."

#30 Filip Mareš (CZE) / Radovan Bucha (CZE), Toyota GR Yaris (Rally 2)

"It was a tough day, but a good one. The stages were amazing. We enjoyed every single one. The morning conditions were really tough. The afternoon was more stable but still challenging due to the cuts. We’re happy with our position."

#31 Marijan Griebel (GER) / Tobias Braun (GER), Skoda Fabia RS (Rally 2)

"Overall, it was a good day for us. This morning was tricky due to the wet conditions and fog. The afternoon was clearer, and we could enjoy the stages. Apart from a few spots in the forest, the roads were mostly dry. The times were okay. I think we can be proud of that. Tomorrow should bring good weather – that’s great for us, but also for the fans and marshals. If we could gain one or two more places, that would be fantastic."

#39 Jan Černý (CZE) / Ondřej Krajča (CZE), Ford Fiesta Rally3 (Rally 3)

"It was a pretty good day. Our speed was great, and I’m happy with that. I think we won six out of eight stages. Unfortunately, we got a penalty for a virtual chicane. I’ve never done one before and have only seen it in onboard videos from other drivers. We also missed a turn on the last stage. But everything else was perfect. Tomorrow, we’ll push again."

#43 Hermann Gassner (GER) / Michael Wenzel (GER), Renault Clio Rally3 (Rally 3)

"In the afternoon, our times were good. We’re now fighting for the third podium spot. Maybe even second in our class. Let’s see what happens tomorrow. The motivation is definitely there. The stages tomorrow should be pretty similar to today. I’m excited to be rallying here in Germany."
