Accreditation procedure

The CER Press Office will only accredit publications / small national agencies (journalists and photographers), websites and radio stations from Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany. Large domestic press agencies and the local offices of all major international agencies are accredited directly by the FIA. All other applicants for print/web publications and photo/news agencies must also apply directly to the FIA Communications Department via the international online accreditation system for each individual rally at https://wrc.ams.fia.com/login. The contact addresses for other media (e.g. electronic media / radio stations / photo agencies etc.) can be found below.

The CER press office accredits the domestic publications (AUT/CZE/GER) and small national agencies in coordination with the FIA WRC Media Delegate, whereby we are bound by very strict selection criteria. A maximum of three passes per publication/agency will be issued. Exceptionally, this maximum number will be awarded to publications/agencies that provide extensive coverage of the event. A maximum of one badge for journalists will be issued for websites; photographers from websites cannot be accredited.

Online accreditation (national media):

Criteria for the accreditation of journalists from Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany

Media applying for accreditation must upload a formal letter of assignment signed by the editor-in-chief of the publication or agency as well as current proof of publications by the journalist or photographer to be accredited. Please only use the online system for accreditation. Unfortunately, we cannot accept documents sent by e-mail or letter post.

The media for which a pass is requested must be available in the retail trade (trade, association or internal company magazines are not accepted). The usual minimum circulation for a national weekly or monthly magazine is 10,000 copies. The minimum circulation for a national daily newspaper is 30,000 copies.

For daily newspapers and websites, extensive coverage of each event is required. For example, an introductory article on Thursday, follow-up articles on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and an event report on Monday. For a weekly or monthly publication, extensive coverage of the event is required.

Criteria for the accreditation of photographers from Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany

The number of photographer passes for national media (AUT/CZE/GER) is limited to twelve. The organiser will make photographic material available free of charge for press purposes at www.centraleuropeanrally.eu.

Photographers are subject to the same strict criteria for accreditation as journalists. Publications or agencies applying for accreditation for a single round must provide proof that they have provided independent coverage of at least 15 images per pass at each event for which they were accredited at last year's championship. Freelance journalists must apply for accreditation through their own agencies. The freelance applicant must be able to demonstrate that they regularly provide coverage for at least three publications that meet the FIA accreditation criteria. Photo agencies must be able to demonstrate that their images have been regularly sold to publications that meet the FIA criteria and that they have been paid for them at the going commercial rate. A publication must be able to prove that the published images are the original work of the publication's accredited photographer.

(Commercial) Photographers who do not fulfil the above criteria must apply for accreditation at accreditation@wrc.com, specifying the nature of their work.

Important note: Accredited photographers must attend the mandatory photo briefing, which usually takes place on the Wednesday afternoon before the event. We will inform you of the exact location and timing with your accreditation confirmation.
